my first memory

today is not the anniversary of my first memory---but--it is close---probably on sept 11 or 12

i was 19 months old and was in afton with ma and gan

cant recall what we were doing--but i remember that we were outside; just the three of us; under the chaineyball tree---momma and daddy drove up; in the back; where gan usually parked the pickup truck in their car--green--ugly--ugly--ford

not sure who opened mommas door; probably gan

on the front seat; sarah

my world changed and for the better; although at ti,es growing up i am sure i didnt feel that way

we had pictures made--at marguerite miles shop in warrenton--when it was just the 2 of us--thats pw--pre-wendy--dont see that picture often; dont think i have one; but it is the greatest; sweetest picture of us--she probably doesnt think so; but i feel; every day; for her; the love that is depicted in that shot

sarah is n many ways the strongest of the three of us-i know wendy would qgree--shes definitely the nicest; wendy is a close close; very close; second

while wendy and i have built names and reputations for ourselves; sarah has done it away from home

when sarah joined me at pfeiffer; she was ranns sister

now when i go to albemarle; i amknown as sarahs brother; a great title

happy birthday sarah-number 38

  1. We all know that Sarah is a special lady. I hope her birthday was fantastic. I bet she really misses her big brother!
