austria-hungarian empire

its thursday afternoon, early evening. arrived budapest by train early am on tuesday. decided to see the city by boat from the danube rather than hoofing it across the cobblestones...bought ticket from 2 young people on the square in front of st marys church...sophie, 16, first job...very personable...offered to walk me to the boat...sold...think she was bored...nice young girl...hannah domenech...i do not want you selling tickets to strangers on any square in albemarle or anywhere else...very relaxing, 2 hour tour...around margaret island...saw parliament, the castle, fancy hotels, etc....most of the boat was filled with older, very beautiful women from japan...i think perhaps the emporer literally sent a boat load of geishas to budapest...very informative audio tour with history of buda and peche...much of-no-all of which i had forgotten from western civ...then onto vienna

will update more later...this cyber cafe closes at 7 pm...where am i, afton?
