friday, more rain, castles and hell

great breakfast with george eta and carlyn...was able to say goodbye to edwin and aileen...who were heading to amsterdam by car to review tapes form a car crash simulation the day before...they will test again next week...i of course wanted to see the demo...edwin gently told me heck no

2 busses to fussen an hour away to tour 2 of ludwigs castles...both interesting but neuschwanstein (N) is the most famous, at the end of germanys romantic road and was the inspiration for walts disney world castle

also it was on the cover of history book for us at warren academy..think it was 3rd grade, elaine colemans class...or 5th grade...mary catherine harriss class...does anyone remember

on the bus to fussen, met john viehe from cary and his sister martha from toledo. john´s father in law is ill, wife couldnt come and martha recently lost her husband, so they made the trek together. both super nice, he is retired army intelligence, now teaches at wake tech and campbell, state grade, wake forest exec mba...max crowe, ceo of woodlands bank was in his class

rained all day on castle tours with lots of walking in between

then 6 trains...therefore 5 changes...to rothenburg
